UNIT 16 - P3 (Resubmision)
P3 - Develop ideas for sound elements for identified media purpose
These are the initial ideas identified for my radio segment

This is the mind map with the initial ideas for the radio segment. It demonstrates the different aspects that needs to be covered within my radio programme. It looks at the Isle of Dogs area of Tower Hamlets, which relates to the theme of East London.
Audio Storyboard
This is the audio storyboard for the radio segment. It shows where each sound elements would go, as well as the duration of the of it, a little description of what it covers and some directions of how it should be processed in the segment. This highlights how it should appear on the segment whether having a little fading in or out for example.
Notes of how I came up with my concepts:
- Considering the East London settings
- The Isle of Dogs is within Tower Hamlets, therefore within the East End
- Thinking what places are iconic of the area
- What places I know best
- What sort of sounds could be heard and are most common
- Think of local tradition or folklore
- Think about the demographic and the diversity within the community
- Any important celebrity, memorial or story from the area
- Who would be suitable to tell the local area within their interview
- What content would relate and appeal to
- Think about possible issues that may arise
- Make sure it relates to the brief and the client Local's Guide to Brick Lane
Sounds assets that I will be creating:
- Market sounds like Roman Road market
- Sounds of interior place like a library
- Another inside sound of a classroom
- Sound of the interior of a bus
- The noise of a DLR train
- Atmospheric sounds like rain and wind
- People talking in parks
- Footsteps of walking
