UNIT 16 - P6 (Resubmision)

P6 -  Carry out post-production edits to the sound elements

Editing process

To edit my radio segment the software GarageBand has been used. This is a screenshot of the software and shows how it has been edited. The big orange bar at the top shows the sound that has been selected to be edited. Next to it there is another bar showing its name, in this case 'Family'.

This is a screenshot of how the automation has been used to mix and have a control changing and mixing the sounds. This has been done selecting choose mix, at the top, then show automation and by clicking it the track area of the menu bar it appears, so that it can be edited. It shows how different sounds have been faded and some sounds have been trimmed. The two orange bars at the top demonstrates how some sound elements have been split in order to suit the product and have the appropriate sounds needed. Also the yellow lines inside the boxes show how the audio levels have been adjusted to match the sounds and lower or raise them when it is needed.

The different lines on the timeline shows the level of the sounds: if it is too low or too high. This was done to avoid too much noise and distortion, as a result sounds were analysed and made sure the fitted with the other sounds in order to make the dialogue scenes understandable, so that the audience can hear it.
